Information TechnologyCambrex - Charles CityOverviewThe purpose of the IT System Administrator is to ensure effective operation of the network to meet business needs, to include design of network architecture, integration, and installation of IT equipment, and to maintain and improve the network and its various systems to ensure stability, reliability, and availability.
ResponsibilitiesWork with all site personnel to plan, implement, and support internal as well as enterprise business systems.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and repair servers, workstations, and network devices in a mixed Windows and Unix/Linux environment.
Monitor server processes, databases, and business systems to ensure minimal downtime.
Responsible for generating and presenting metrics, reports, information and communications to upper management and the company on status, issues, and plans.
Administration of LAN comprising 250
computers.
Lead implementation of new hardware and software initiatives as needed.
Maintenance of system integrity and security.
Coordination of corporate/local system needs and expansions.
Assist with special projects as needed.
All employees are required to adhere to DEA, EPA, FDA and cGMP regulations as they relate to the operation of the Company; and to adhere to all company safety rules and procedures.
All employees are expected to report to work regularly and promptly.
Other duties relating to departmental mission, not specifically detailed in this section may be assigned.
QualificationsBS/BA in computer technology field or related equivalent experience.
Five or more years of experience in system administration in multiple environments.
